　　An island has many different characteristics. 岛屿有很多不同的特征。

　　The first thing is climate. 首先是气候。

　　An island's climate is usually milder. 岛屿的气候通常更温和。

　　So, islands are much warmer in winter. 因此，岛屿的冬季更温暖。

　　For example, Great Britain is an island. 例如，大不列颠就是一座岛屿。

　　Another characteristic is people's food. 另一个特征是人们的食物。

　　It is very easy for people on an island to catch fish. 对岛屿上的居民来说捕鱼是很容易的。

　　So, there are many kinds of fish on the menu on islands. 因此，岛屿上的菜单上有很多种鱼的菜。
