[00:06.06]There were seven lions who were friends with a cow.
[00:10.98]One day, the lions invited the cow for a meal.
[00:14.80]They prepared lots of meat to share with the cow.
[00:18.95]However, the cow could not eat the meat
[00:22.36]but he remained quiet about it
[00:24.87]and thanked the lions for their hospitality¹.
[00:27.95]Later, the cow invited the lions to be his guests.
[00:32.98]The seven lions saw big bundles of fresh grass
[00:37.34]when they reached the cow’s house.
[00:39.19]They were very surprised.
[00:41.50]“Don’t you have meat?

[00:47.08]Don’t you know that we eat meat?”
[00:49.91]The cow said nervously,
[00:51.89]“I think grass tastes better than meat.

[00:57.69]“When you were invited as our guest,

[01:05.16]“and we did not ask you to try it.
[01:07.53]But here you are asking us to try eating the grass.

[01:26.54]the cow argued.

[01:32.46]You invited us as your guests but starve us.
[01:36.72]If anyone else were to treat us like this,
[01:39.77]we would tear him into pieces.
[01:42.30]Since you are our friend,
[01:44.36]we will be kind to you and eat only one of your legs.”
[01:48.43]The cow knew very well
[01:50.71]that he could not argue with them anymore
[01:53.13]and he trembled as he said,
[01:55.08]“That’s very kind of you.”
[01:56.95]The lions bit off one of cow’s legs and enjoyed eating it
[02:02.20]while he was left there bleeding to death.
[02:05.03]Soon the lion said,
[02:07.12]“Since the cow is dead,
[02:08.66]we may as well finish him.”
[02:10.72]Thus they continued feasting on the cow.
[02:13.58]A fox passed by and wanted to have a taste of the delicious meat too.
[02:19.49]So he sneaked⁵ in quietly and carried away the cow’s heart.
[02:24.19]He hid himself behind a tree to enjoy his food.
[02:28.23]When the seven lions had eaten up the whole cow,
[02:32.16]they asked among themselves,
[02:34.03]“Where is the cow’s heart?
[02:36.21]Do you mean the cow has no heart at all?”
[02:40.17]The fox came out from his hiding place and said,
[02:43.44]“You’re wrong!
[02:44.65]He has a heart but no brain.
[02:47.26]Or else he would not be friends with you at all.”
