Hi there, I'm Hayley from the BBC World News for Schools. It's Thursday the 9th of June.
Coming up:
?Wildfire in Arizona, America, is still raging eleven days on,
?Elephants charge into a city in India,
?And the world's fastest man Usain Bolt says he wants to play football when he retires.
But first, hundreds of people from the Middle Eastern country of Syria have been fleeing into neighbouring Turkey to try and escape expected violence. Those crossing into Turkey are fleeing the northern town of Jisr-al-Shughour, as they are worried the military are preparing to attack. Officials in Turkey say it will not close its doors to people seeking refuge1 and they are still monitoring the situation. Here's one Syrian who has made the journey to Turkey:
CLIP2: "I have crossed to Turkey alone, my family are still on the other side of the border. Since last Friday soldiers have started to come. Everyone has started to try and flee to the borders. Soldiers started to attack houses and men and women and children regardless."
Next to the American state of Arizona where a wildfire has forced thousands of people to flee their homes. It's been burning for 11 days and has become one of the biggest blazes3 in the state's history. The flames have already destroyed huge areas of land and are now threatening towns near the border of the state of New Mexico. Officials say fire crews are doing all they can to put it out.
To India now, where two wild elephants went on a rampage in a city. Schools and colleges were shut in Mysore while the animals ran through the city causing three hours of trouble. Rangers4 and zoo officials had to tranquilise the animals so that they could be caught before they did further damage. At least one person was killed by the elephants and other people were injured. The animals will be released back into the forest from where they came.
In sport, Olympic champion Usain Bolt is hoping for another win today in the Diamond League in Norway, where he'll be running in the 200m race. But he says he still has more work to do to get back to shape after an injury he got last year.
CLIP: "I think I've done a little bit more work in the gym, I've bulked up a little bit more. I need to back up off the weights a little bit, but when I get home it's all about technique. I have to work on getting everything back to tip top shape, my start, my execution5, my transition6 so I have a little bit more to work on but I'm ready and focussed."
But when the world's fastest man retires he thinks he could play football instead - and he reckons7 he will probably be good enough for top British football team Manchester United.
CLIP:"Yeah I really want to try soccer after I retire, because I've watched football over the years and I think I could be a good contender8. I'm really looking forward to it. Yes I definitely think I'm good enough to play for Manchester United. I'm quick, I have the skills. I have to refine it a bit, but I should be good enough."
Yesterday we asked you where was famous classical music composer Mozart born? And the answer is...
In Salzburg, which is a city in Austria.
Today we want to know which country does athlete Usain Bolt compete for?
And finally police were called to the rescue in Canada as a goose and her babies went for a walk on a busy road. They had to shut two lanes to escort9 the feathered family off the road because drivers were concerned for their safety.
OK folks, that's all from the World News for Schools team. We're back tomorrow, bye.
