(单词翻译:双击或拖选)
The argument on how to get the balance right between the right to privacy in private life and the importance of having a free press working in the public interest to expose truth is still continuing. When I look for guidance in the New Testament1, I come across these striking words said by Jesus, there's nothing covered up that will not be uncovered, nothing hidden that will not be made known. Therefore everything you've said in the dark will be heard in broad daylight and what you've whispered behind closed doors will be shouting from the house tops. It looks therefore, as said, the New Testament is unequivocally on the side of transparency. In private life, as the New Testament stresses, we shouldn't do anything we will be ashamed to have revealed, and in public life, apart from exceptional circumstances, transparency must be the guiding principle.
