Their hypodermic-like mouth parts which can pierce cow hide, probe under the skin to find a blood vessel¹. Only female mosquitoes bite, they need the protein in blood to lay eggs. And we rarely feel them feed, as their saliva² ax is anesthetic³. But if the nerve to their own stomach is cut, they will keep sucking blood until * burst. When they take blood, they inject saliva and their spit can carry a host of deadly diseases. Mosquitoes are responsible for one in every 17 human deaths. The only death Josh needs to worry about is one that affects his high school. Back in the Kitchen, tonight's meal is a real treat. Hurry up, come on!
