1. Authorities have brought formal terrorism and mass destruction charges against the suspect in the failed Times Square car bombing. They say Faisal Shahzad confessed to receiving explosives training in Pakistan. No word from officials on whether they think Shahzad acted alone.

2. BP's chief executive says a containment dome designed to cover the Gulf oil leak will be on the seabed Thursday. He says the dome will be hooked up to a drill ship over the weekend, and the principal leak could be contained by early next week. But he says there are no guarantees.

3. Residents who left their houses in the face of flash flooding in Nashville are returning home. Severe weather is blamed for 18 deaths in Tennessee. And authorities are afraid more bodies will be found as floodwaters recede.

4. And the doctor for Bret Michaels says the rocker is in stable condition and has left a Phoenix medical center. The former Poison frontman was being treated for a brain hemorrhage. He was rushed to intensive care last month after a severe headache.
