Well, there is a lot of social media activity happening out there to help mark the one year anniversary of what many people call the Twitter revolution.
Here’s a look at the map being organized by the group called the Jun 12th Global Day of Action and this is the human rights and civil rights groups which are organizing events around the world to help highlight what they’re calling are some of the injustices that have happened in Iran over the past year. You can say, see there, they’re really stretching the globe from places like Australia to Brighton, England to places like Japan and even Norway. So social media here really being used to galvanize the troops on the ground to attend these events.
Now on the Transnet in the Twitter-sphere a lot of action happening inside Iran as you can see the harsh tack Iranian election is a very popular topic. Here are just a few of those twits that had been coming out of the country. Sedae has twitted now that Mousavi rallies cancelled to prevent Bloodbath, now it’s time to the people to leave Mousavi. Someone named Ms. Paul has twitted the knowledge that we’re not alone in the struggle is in itself an immense sound of a joy and hope. And Morning has also twitted nothing is as fatal to human rights as indifference. But someone by the name of Johnicher has taken a bit of a different tack. They’ve written one year on the Green Revolution has failed to take roots. Obviously a bit of a different tack from someone there in Iran.
This is a look at the Facebook group that has been set up. It’s called one million in support of the Green Movement’s first anniversary. This page just has been set up for about three weeks now, but as you can they’re far short of that goal of one million just about 1,800 people have joined so as you can see Becky lots of activity out there in the social media around as we get closer to the Jun 12th anniversary. |
