Lesson Two
Holding a Grudge
Connie: Hey, look, I've been thinking about the homeless, our group you know? 'Compassion Week'?
Donna: So have I. In fact, I think I have an idea we could do.
Connie: Really? Oh that's great! Then let's call Jessie and get together to talk about it!
Donna: No way.
Connie: Donna, I'm sure she didn't mean what she said in the meeting.
Donna: She said I was bossy.
Connie: Well, she was just frustrated because we couldn't come up with any ideas.
Donna: Uh-huh. And I bet she still thinks she should be leader of the group, too.
Connie: Well, we can talk about that. We can discuss it like mature women.
Donna: Jessie? Mature? Huh.
Connie: Donna!
Donna: She is disorganized, Connie - you know it. It would be crazy to put her in charge.
Connie: Well, maybe she isn't the most organized person in the world but, but Whit's counting on us. We have to meet again. Can't you guys make up?
Donna: Well, I will if she will.
Connie: Great. Will you call her?
Donna: Not a chance. She can call me if she wants to make up. |
