听众Emma来信，询问如何表达把某事先搁在一旁，先不提某事，或讨论某事，我们可以用"put…in perspective"这个表达法：
Let's put the whole marriage thing in perspective. 我们先把结婚一事搁在一旁。（意思是放一放，先处理其它的事）
Let's put the whole Diana thing in perspective.我们先把戴安娜这事搁一搁。
Shall we put the whole job thing in perspective? 我们先不要去关注工作这件事吗？
I have to put your application in perspective for a while.我不得不先把你的申请搁置一段时间。
I can't put it in perspective, I need to get it done by today. 这事我不能再搁了，必须今天完成。
All right, let's put all your troubles in perspective, right now it's time to have fun. 接下来，我们学习一下如何用"how come"来引导疑问句，非常简单，直接在"how come"后面加一个陈述句就可以了，请注意是"陈述句"，不用把它变成疑问句式，意思是"怎么会…"，"为什么…"，"如何…"
How come you're dumped by your boyfriend?你怎么就被你男朋友甩了呢？
How come you're a photographer?你是如何一名摄影师的？
How come we've never met before?我们以前怎么就没见过面呢？
How come you've never got to talk to him?你怎么就一点都没有和他谈话的机会呢？
How come you're one of the top 5 students? 你是如何跻身成为前5名优秀的学生的？
