A band of cloud crossing New South Wales, eastern Victoria and Tasmania ahead of a cold front is bringing rain, mostly to the ranges. And scattered cloud over western Victoria and South Australia in strong cold southerly winds is causing showers. Taking a look around the states, in Queensland, patchy rain and isolated thunderstorms are expected over Cape York Peninsula. Isolated showers over remaining parts of the tropics and central districts.
In New South Wales, rain areas in the southwest extending towards the northeast, reaching the Hunter and northwest slopes and plains later in the day.
In Victoria, rain area should clear from the east during the morning with isolated showers redeveloping over most districts by the afternoon.
Rain also for Tasmania, increasing about the southeast in the evening.
To South Australia, isolated showers over the agricultural area, west coast and south of the pastoral districts, tending scattered about central and southeastern districts until evening.
Across to the west, isolated showers and thunderstorms are expected to cross the north of the state and in the southwest.
And in the Northern Territory, isolated afternoon and evening showers and storms over the Top End.
