 Indonesian police have arrested eight men in connection with that asylum seekerboat that capsized off Java on the weekend. Police say they include foursoldiers, the two owners of the sunken boat and two crew members. The boat wascarrying more than 200 people when it sank. The confirmed death toll has nowreached 90.

 
New South Wales police believe that they have had another brush with thestate's most-wanted man. They were confronted by a man they believe wasfugitive Malcolm Naden while investigating a break-in at a property in thestate's north on Wednesday. The man managed to escape. And police say Naden'sfingerprints have been found in the house. Naden is accused of murdering awoman in Dubbo six years ago.
 
Sixty-seven people have died and around 200 have been wounded in a series ofcoordinated bomb attacks in Baghdad. Fourteen explosions hit various partsof the Iraqi capital during the morning rush hour. The attacks are the worst inmonths and coincide with the worsening political crisis. No one has claimedresponsibility for those attacks.

France's lower house has passed a bill making it a crime to deny the1915 mass killings of Armenians in Turkey was genocide. Turkey has reactedangrily to the bill. It's withdrawn its ambassador to France and says there'llbe serious consequences if the bill becomes a law.
