First up.We are heading to Nevada. It's a state Mitt Romney has to be pretty happy right now.The former M governor finished in first place in Nevada's Republican presidential caucus over the weekend. And these caucuses are different from primaries where each person casts a single vote.During a caucus, groups of people meet and declare which candidate they prefer. As the vote started being counted on Saturday,CNN predicted that the former governor Romney would win Nevada.A lot experts have predicted since he won the state caucus four years ago as well but there all is changing the Republican p[residential field of candidates, former House Speaker Newt G,US Representative RP and former Senator RS have all promised to stay in the race. The next round of context is tomorrow, caucuses in M and Cardoza and primary in M.
Looking at that an economic headline that some experts calling a nice surprise. The us unemployment dropped to 8.3% in January, that is the lowest percent in nearly three years and the economy added 243,000 jobs in January that was nearly double what experts were predicting. Most economists say there is still a long way to go here and there is no guarantee that the job growth released recently will continue.President Obama had a similar message during a speech on Friday. He said these numbers will probably go up and down, while the current news is good. The president said there are too many Americans who need jobs or need one that pays better than the one they have now.
See if you can ID me?I am a group of members from different countries.I change president every month.I have 15 members and 5 of them are permanent.I am part of the United Nation.I am the UN Security Council. My main responsibility is to maintain global peace and security.
At this time, the Security Council is not taking action when it comes to Syria. There's been a region in that middle east country for months. The Council was considering a resolution that would demanded the Syrian president stop fighting in his country but China and Russia voted against the resolution. Those countries say they want the violence in Syria end but they said the language of the resolution would make the situation more complicated.
US Secretary of State,Hillary Clinton responded to the no-vote.
What happened yesterday in the United Nation was a travesty. Those countries refused to support the Arab League plan, they bear full responsibility for protecting the brutal in regime in Damascus.
In Australia, authorities are using military helicopters and a giant cargo plane to help evacuate areas that were being hit by flooding. The area being affected the most is the state of Queensland.Weeks of heavy rains caused river level to rise up and officials are predicting recorded breaking floods there.Thousands of people have been told to get out of the path of waters.Food and medical supplies are being flown in the area that more isolated. And the town you see right here. The water is started go down after days' major floods.Authorities have lifted the evacuation orders and residents are gradually making their way back but they have been warned to stay away from the waters. |
