2. House Speaker John Boehner has scheduled a vote for Friday on legislation to keep the interest rate on subsidized Stafford student loans from going up July 1st. The measure would make up the lost revenue with cuts from the president's health care overhaul bill.

 

 

3. Indonesia has suspended US beef imports due to the case of mad cow disease discovered in the US. One South Korean retailer also suspended US beef sales.

 

 

4. Andrew Young, the former aide to Democratic presidential contender John Edwards, goes back to the witness stand Thursday. Young is the first prosecution witness to testify against Edwards. Edwards has pled not guilty to allegedly using about a million dollars in secret payments to hide his then-pregnant mistress.
