1. The anti-American fury is growing in the Mid-East over an anti-Islam film. Protests have now erupted in Yemen and Iraq, to go along with the violence in Egypt and Libya. 2. The White House is deploring the content of an anti-Muslim film as the heart of the chaos. It says America's free speech rights allow such films to air. It also says it condemns the violence in several Islamic countries the film has reportedly triggered.
3. And 1,500 people have turned out to say goodbye to Nil Armstrong. The first person to walk on the Moon died last month. He was remembered today as a trailblazer for all.
4. UConn basketball coach Jim Calhoun is stepping down. He led the Huskies to three national championships, and racked up 873 wins in his 26-year career. |
