2. President Barack Obama says Israel has the right to defend itself from missiles being aimed at the country. Obama says no country on earth would tolerate missiles raining down on its people, saying any effort to resolve the conflict in Gaza starts with no missiles being fired into Israel's territory.

 

 

 

3. Myanmar's leader has ordered a new prisoner amnesty ahead of a historical visit to the country by President Barack Obama Monday. It was not clear whether any political prisoners will be among the 66 freed.

 

 

 

4. And scuffles erupted in Paris Sunday when activists tried to disrupt a protest by Catholics against the president's plan to legalize marriage and adoption for same-sex couples. What began as a peaceful protest quickly degenerated, and led security officers to use tear gas.
