For William,the treehouse children's hospice in Ipswich is a place to have fun.He has a rare genetic condition and severe learning difficulties.For his parents,the center provides the chance spare much needed break.It run by I children's hospice or each.And a year ago,it was announced that this will be one of four charities to be supported by the Duchess of Cambridge. It was being tremendous,not only for each,but only for children's palliative care,nationally and internationally.Her support is bringring a whole new prospective to what the work we do.
Kate first visited the treehouse as royal patron in March last year.It was the location for her first public speech.
You as a community has built the treehouse,a group of people who have made every effort to support and help each other.
William and his family were among those who had a chance to meet Kate.
She was just such a lovely,genuine and honestly down-to-earth person.You know,she came in and she got time with the kids.She played with them and she spent far more time than she was supposed to be here.And as it said,it just give the whole place a real lifting and the whole town a real buzz.
The Duchess was said to have selected her charities with great care,choosing those who support children and adults with different needs,as well as those that reflected her interest in the arts.And it seems the power of royal backing should not be underestimated.
Princess Diana'S success in helping reduce the stigma about AIDS is an evidence of fact.And Kate's influence is already proving to be significant.
