GENEVA, Aug. 29 (Xinhua) -- An infrastructure contract to renovate and extend the World Trade Organization (WTO) headquarters in Geneva was signed Thursday in Bern, the Swiss Federal Department of Finance said. The structural maintenance of the Centre William Rappard, WTO's headquarters, is assumed by Swiss authorities.
WTO Director-General Pascal Lamy will leave office on Aug. 31 and be replaced by Roberto Azevedo from Brazil. |
