2. Thousands converged on the nation's capital to pay tribute on the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington. Celebrities, civil rights pioneers, along with former presidents Clinton and Carter, and President Obama commemorated Dr. Martin Luther King's "I Have a Dream" speech.

3. Chemical weapons inspectors for the United Nations are in Syria and spent their second day investigating an alleged chemical weapons attack in Damascus. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon says the inspectors need two more days.

4. And an aquarium in Brazil is giving a bit of special treatment to its albino alligator. The alligator has hunchback and scoliosis so the aquarium is giving him weekly acupuncture.
