 1. Kenyan security forces have nearly regained total control of an upscale shopping mall in Nairobi, two days after it was seized by members of a Somali terrorist group. Thick smoke rose over the besieged mall. Witnesses heard four loud explosions and sporadic gunfire. Officials say three attackers were killed during today's events and more than ten suspects have been arrested. 

 
 
 
2. President Obama says the US stands with Kenya after the terrible outrage of the attack and will provide law enforcement assistance. His first comments on the incident comes as he opens meeting at the UN General Assembly in New York. Hot topics are expected to be Iran's disputed nuclear program, Syria's chemical weapons use and elusive peace between Israel and the Palestinians. 
 
 
 
3. Once the dominant smartphone for businesses, Blackberry has agreed to sell itself to its largest shareholder. The price, $4.7 billion. Shares in Blackberry had plunged on Friday after the company announced a loss of nearly $1 billion and layoffs of 4,500 workers.
 
 
 
4. And a group of artificially bred panda cubs made their first appearance together in southwest China. The 14 panda cubs, born between July and September this year, are currently being raised in two delivery rooms in the Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding and Research Base.
