Great to have you back, you see Jim up on that screen, it brings up so many complicated emotions, but this is a sweet Jim in this movie. 

 

Yeah, this is, Jim plays a character who is very thoughtful and kind and generous, and self-effacing, and frankly very close to who the real Jim was, and so I think people are gonna love to see this performance. 

 

And we see a different side of you in this movie while Elaine and I watched it last night, and I have to tell you we were on the edge of tear through half the movie, you’re so vulnerable in this movie. 

 

Well, good, oh, thank you, yeah, I was trying to mess up your head. Yeah, well, I’m playing a character who is pretty fraught, her only daughter is about to take off for college, and the anxiety about this impending separation, it’s sort of fuels her mental state throughout this film and she does something really, really, really horrible, almost, I would say, unconsciously. 

 

Well, that’s the thing, she wants this new romance too, but can’t help to sabotage it. 

 

Yeah, she sabotages it, it’s out of fear, and it’s one of, it’s very sort of weensy and awkward which is fun to play.  

 

But it’s a really powerful performance, I wish we had a lot more time to talk about it. Before we go, but I do wanna talk the, a little bit about your 4th Emmy. Good Sunday, we got a lot of fans over here, give us one nugget, what can we expect from Selina Meyer next season?

 

What can we expect? I’ll give you two tight earing nugget and a half. Selina is going on sort of an invisible pre-campaign campaign tour, so she’s written a book, so she’s out, she’s gonna be out selling it, book tour, and we’re gonna tackle a very controversial issue. I won’t say what it is, but it’s pretty explosive, so 

 

It makes you smile even when you’re thinking about it, so we can’t wait to hear what happened. 

 

Well, I’m hoping I’m smiling. Yeah, it’s smiling out of nervousness, but I think it’ll be good.
