Authority say a gunman and another person are dead, two others were wounded today following a shooting at a medical center in Rino Nevada. While the incident is still being investigated the authority say a man entered the center for advance medicine at Rino regional medical center today began firing. The police chief, deputy chief Tom Robinson says among the dead is suspected gunman. is one of the decese, yes, apparently yes.
Conditions of other who were wounded still not known at this hour.
California seate big sir region is under threat from a slow moving wild fire that has consumed 550 acers, destroying 15 homes and forcing about 100 people to evacuate the mountain area. NPR's Richard Guzales has more.
Big Sir about 150 miles south of San Francisco is a major tourist draw known for its rogit coast and breathtaking views of the pacific ocean. Typically the fire season is over by now, but drought conditions have left a lot dry field for the bleeze that started Sunday. Untill recently the region was about 45 inches of rain each year, this year only seven inches of rain have dropped. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. NASA says astronauts will have to conduct a series of space walks to replace a 40 pup vodul aboard the international space station. NPR's Fel reports the work will begin this weekend.
The trouble began when a critical part of the cooling system aboard the international space station stopped working. Astronauts were forced to shut down some of the station's systems to keep them from over heating. NASA isolated the single voule that was causing the problem but efforts to fix it romotely have failed. Now the agency says a series of space walks will be needed to replace a 780 pound mudul that holds the vouel, meanwhile a resupply rocket set to launch this week will be delayed untill Jan. Government's mainly inflation gage show a little signs of movement last month, the labour department is reporting its consumer price index which measures the cost of a market basket of good basicly fight in Nov after dropping 0.1% the previous month. was due to falling gas prices which declined 1.6% last month excluding volt of food and energy prices they so called core rate inflation which is also a little changed up to 0.2%. Over the past 12 months the consumer prices have raisen just 1.2%.
