Let's take a look at the satellite.A large low pressure system over Western Australia is causing wide spread rain and thunderstorms. A trough over South Australia, Victoria and New South Wales is bringing showers and storms. The monsoon trough is causing similar activities in Northern Queensland. Looking around the country. There will be showers and storms in Queensland's far north and east coast, warm and sunny in land. Hot temperatures through out New South Wales, with a later cool change in the southeast. That will bring showers and storms, sunny elsewhere.
Cool conditions for most of Victoria, with hot conditions persisting in the north; isolated showers in the south; showers and storms in the east.
Down to Tasmania, cool southwesterly winds through out with a few morning showers.
Very hot with early storms in South Australia's northeast; cooler elsewhere with gusty, southwesterly winds.
Over to western Australia, where heavy rain and winds are expected in the north, dry and warm conditions in the south.
And in the Northern Territory, strong winds and heavy rain in the north and west with lighter showers and storms in the east.
And looking ahead to tomorrow's forecast for the capital cities. Increasing sunshine in Brisbane, mostly sunny in Sydney, some late showers in Hobart, sunny in Adelaide and Perth, and some showers in Darwin. |
