The monsoon and multiple tropical lows are causing heavy rains,wind and thunderstorms across the tropics. A trough is hitting the south of the country and producing a few showers and storms. A high is directing showers onto the Queensland coast. Looking around the country.
Queensland will be hot and sunny in the southwest with storms in the tropics and heavy showers on the central coast.
Very hot conditions in western New South Wales. It'll be warm and generally sunny elsewhere.
Victoria will be hot and sunny throughout with moderate northerly winds.
Warm to hot conditions in Tasmania. There'll be some moderate northerlies there.
High temperatures also throughout South Australia with a late cool change.
Cooler conditions in Western Australia with showers and storms in the Kimberly.
And in the Northern Territory, showers and storms in the north. Hot and sunny in the south.
And looking ahead to tomorrow's forecast for the capital cities: it'll be mostly sunny in Brisbane and Sydney, windy in Melbourne and Hobart, mostly sunny in Adelaide, sunny in Perth and some thunderstorms in Darwin. |
