Lows and an associated trough are causing areas of rain over New South Wales and Victoria, heaviest in the east with gusty storms over parts of South Australia. An area of low pressure over the tropics is triggering a few showers and storms. Taking a look around the country.
Queensland will be hot in the south. Scattered showers and storms expected above southwest with isolated showers and storms in the far north and also the southeast.
In New South Wales, an area of rain and possible thunderstorms across much of the state. Patchy in the northeast, gusty winds along the coast this afternoon.
Victoria can expect areas of rain near the northern border with scattered showers and the odd storms through mountain areas.
In Tasmania, early drizzle in the east will develop into showers statewide. Easing by evening. Locally heavy falls around the northeast.
Showers and storms in the northeast of South Australia, moving north. Showers in the south, clearing in the west.
In WA, showers and storms over the Kimberley and northern inland. Mostly sunny in the south. Very warm in the west.
Rain and storms in the south of the Territory with showers and storms in the Top End.
And looking ahead to tomorrow's forecast for the capital cities: partly cloudy in Brisbane, rain clearing in Sydney and Canberra, showers in Melbourne and Hobart, dry in Adelaide and Perth, showers in Darwin. |
