The President is ordering the Pentagon to plan for a full withdrawl of U.S. troops from Afghanistan by year's end. The order comes amid a strained relationship with Afghan president Hamid Karzai who has refused 

 

to sign an agreement to keep U.S. forces on the ground beyond 2014.

 

Arizona Governor Jan Brewer has until Saturday to sign or veto a controversial gay rights law. Last week, the state legislature passed a bill that would allow businesses to deny serivice to homosexuals based on
