In the 5 to 4 decision, justice struck down limits on total amount of money, a donor can give the candidates, political authorities and packs. The controversial ruling leaves in place limit on contribution to individual campaign. 2. In Egypt, 3 bombs exploded outside Cairo university main campus. The blast hit riot police who were deployed against daily protest by Pro-Morsi students.
3. Germany's largest airline Lufthansa canceled nearly 900 flights. The carrier is expected to cancel more after the pilot's union started a 3 day's strike as part of the wage dispute.
4. A stolen painting worth millions has been found in Italy. Italian police found the Paul Gauguin "still life" in a Sicilian autoworker's kitchen. He said he bought it at an auction 40 years ago. |
