One proposal would create a gun violence restraining order aimed at preventing someone experiencing a mental health crisis from purchasing firearms. 2. The Tea Party scored a pair of victories in Texas Tuesday ousting two Republican incumbents in favor of more conservative candidates. 91-year-old congressman Ralph Hall, the oldest member of the House lost his bid for reelection, and State Senator Dan Patrick becomes the GOP’s choice for lieutenant governor. Patrick will square off against a Democratic opponent in November.
3. And an anonymous donor is undertaking a mysterious social experiment, leaving hidden cash around the San Francisco bay area and posting clues to twitter on where to find it. The handle @HiddenCash now has more than 100,000 followers.
