The visiting Chinese leader expressed these when meeting with Argentina’s vice president and head of the Senate, Amado Boudou, and the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Julian Dominguez. Xi Jinping spoke highly of the exchanges between China’s National People’s Congress and the Argentine National Congress.

 

President Xi and Argentina President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner decided to upgrade the two countries’ relationship to a comprehensive strategic partnership after their meeting on Friday.

Xi pointed out that the two sides should see each other as development opportunities and partners, boost mutually beneficial cooperation in an effort to promote common development.

The two leaders of the Argentine National Congress pledged the support of the congress and all political parties in their country to the development of the Argentina-China ties. On the morning of the same day, Xi presented a wreath to the Jose San Martin Monument, paying his tribute to the Liberator of South America.
