Let’s take a look at the satellite image. A trough extending from southern Western Australia to South Australia is producing isolated light showers. This trough is associated with a front moving across the bite which is causing showers and winds about Victoria and Tasmania. Most onshore winds are bringing showers to the Queensland coast. Looking around the country, in Queensland, there’ll be some showers in coastal parts. Generally sunny and mild through the inland.
In New South Wales, there’s a chance of coastal showers in the far north. A generally mild and sunny day elsewhere.
Victoria will be mostly sunny after a cool morning. A southwesterly change later tonight will bring coastal showers.
To Tasmania, showers in the west and south will increase. Gusty westerly winds will tend southwesterly later today.
South Australia will be generally sunny and mild. There will be some showers about the far southeast later today.
In Western Australia, a few showers are expected on the southern coastal fringe. Generally sunny and warm elsewhere.
The Northern Territory will be generally sunny and warm with a far band once again enforce for the Darwin area. The far northeast can expect a few coastal showers.
And looking ahead to tomorrow’s forecast for the capitals. Partly cloudy in Brisbane. A possible late shower in Syndey. Showers in Canberra, Melbourne and Hobart. A morning shower in Adelaide. And for Perth and Darwin, it should be fine. |
