Let’s take a look at the satellite image. A low pressure system and a trough over Queensland, New South Wales and South Australia are producing widespread areas of rain and thunderstorms. Another trough approaching Victoria and Tasmania is producing isolated late showers. It’s mostly clear elsewhere. Looking around the country, Queensland, widespread rain, heaviest inland and on the central coast. Dry in the northwest.
Widespread rain for New South Wales, heaviest in the northwest. Onshore winds along the coast.
For Victoria, rain in the north and northwest. Dry in the east.
Tasmania, showers in the southwest, dry elsewhere.
Cool weather for South Australia with showers in the south and east. Mostly dry and sunny in the west with patchy clouds in the north.
Twist in Australia, mild to warm in the west and north, cool in the east.
For Northern Territory, patchy cloud and cool in the far south. Mostly sunny and dry elsewhere.
And looking ahead to tomorrow’s forecast for the capitcals. Brisbane, rain with a chance of thunderstorms, clear by late morning. Rain in Sydney and the chance of thunderstorms. Melbourne, cloudy with areas of drizzle. Partly cloudy day for Hobart and Adelaide. Perth, partly cloudy with isolated showers in the evening. And for Darwin, it should be sunny. |
