The cold front moving over the southwest parts of Western Australia is producing showers and gusty winds. A moist southerly flow moving eastern parts of New South Wales is producing isolated showers. Skies remain generally clear elsewhere under a high-pressure ridge. 
 
Around the country: 
 
In Queensland generally sunny and mild, warm in the north; wide and isolated showers on the northern tropical coast. In New South Wales showers along the coast are easing, possible showers on the ridges, and generally sunny west of the ridges. Generally sunny and mild in Victoria with some lightly winds. Possible drizzle about the northwest of Tasmania, sunny and mild elsewhere. In South Australia, sunny in the east; patchy clouds are building in the west. A few showers across the south of Western Australia, generally sunny and warm in the north. Sunny and dry throughout the Northern Territory, gusty south winds, south, southerly winds in the central areas, hot in the north. 
 
Looking ahead to the forecasts for the capitals: 
 
Partly cloudy in Brisbane and Sydney, some early frost and fog for Canberra, mostly sunny in Melbourne, becoming cloudy in Hobart, a possible late shower in Adelaide, rainy and easing in Perth, and a sunny Sunday for Darwin.
