The US Forest Serivce says cloudy skies and lower temperatures should help firefighters battle a pair of major wildfires in norhtern California. One of the fires has burned close to 100 square miles in the Klamath National Forest.

 

Lightning injuried 3 men on a New York City beach Sunday. Stormy weather also distrupted the US Open Tennis tournament and delayed flights into the Big Apple.

 

And Ray McDonald of the San Francisco 49ers is free on bail. The NFL's defense end was arrested on Sunday on a felony demostic violence charge.
