2. Pro-Russian rebels softened their demands for full independence Monday at the negotiations in Belarus saying they would respect Ukraine’s sovereignty in exchange for autonomy. The shift reflects Moscow’s desire to strike a deal at a new around peace talks. 
 
3. Almost 4,000 migrants were picked up by Italian Navy over the weekend, after they tried to reach Italian coast line from North Africa. According to the UN, nearly 110,000 people have been rescued since January. But at least 1,889 have died making the crossing.
