Let's take a look at the satellite image: Troughs over Western Australia's interior and central Queensland are triggering thunderstorms, while west onshore winds along the New South Wales and Queensland coasts are producing patchy cloud and the odd shower.
Booking you on the country:
In the Queensland warm on the coast with isolated showers in the tropics, hot with thundery showers in the central and southern inland. In New South Wales isolated showers and thunderstorms in the northeast, dry and warm elsewhere. Generally dry in Victoria with cloud increasing in the southwest, warm to very warm with northerly wind throughout. In Tasmania mild to warm with gusty northerly winds, some light shower later in far west. Southern Australia mostly sunny, hot in the west and very warm elsewhere, northerly winds with a later change on the coast. In Western Australia isolated showers about the southwest coast, hot in the northeast, mild to warm elsewhere. And in the Northern Territory generally dry throughout and hot in the west, eastly and southeastly winds with afternoon sea breathers.
And moving ahead to tomorrow's broadcast for the capitals:
Sunny in Brisbane, Sydney and Canberra, becoming sunny in Melbourne, a morning shower or two in Hobart, hot and cloudy in Adelaide, Perth showers, and for Darwin mostly sunny.
