It's been one week since the first diagnosed case of Ebola in the U.S. And the CDC says none of the nearly 50 people who had some contact with the patient in Dallas has fallen ill. But they will continue to be monitored daily. The IMF says the global economy will grow to 3.3 percent this year, 1.10 of a point below its July forecast. That's due to weaker expansion in Japan, Latin America and Europe. But world growth should pick up to 3.8 percent next year.
A Swedish doctor who pioneered the first womb transplant says 2 more women who had the procedure are due to give birth in the next few weeks. The first woman to have a live birth from a transplanted womb had a baby boy last month in Sweden.
For its 125th anniversary, the Eiffel Tower is now partly see-through. The iron lattice structure now has 4 glass panels in the floor of the first level. At 187 feet off the ground, walking on them is not for the faint of heart.
