The leading news this morning. One of our country's leading economic forecasters is predicting the Federal budget is sliding further into the red. The lawyer access economist is warning the treasure the mediate budget update could show 36 billion dollars blowout in deficits over the next four years. A main gap between a temporary boom is still worsening and permanent promises are still in place. Since Australia is back at facing deficits as far the way as I can see. Police are searching for parents of a baby whose body was found buried at Sydney beach. Two young boys made this discovery while digging sand in South Maroubra Beach yesterday morning. Police are not being able to determine baby's age or sex and appealing for parents to come forward.
NBN hopes to have nearly 2 million more homes and businesses connected the fast broadband by the middle of 2016. The national broadband network has unveiled this new rollout plan which includes more than four hundreds cities, surburbs and towns.
And Labour is stepping up the pressue on the government to improve its defense force pay deal. The Federal government is reportedly considering reinciting some leaving entitlements. But isn't budging on the 1.5% pay increase. That's not good enough for indenpent senator Jacqui Lambi who is refusing to support any government legislation until the pay offer is increased. |
