Thousands of banknotes worth more than 15 million Hong Kong dollars scattered on one of Hong Kong’s busiestroad on Christmas Eve, after 3 boxes fell out of an armored van. Local TVnetworks said people passing by were scrambling to collect some of the cash before police armed with shotguns and wearing bullet-proof vests raced to thescene.

 

American and NATO soldiers in Afghanistan celebrated Christmas day in Kabul. Troops enjoyed a special Christmas dinner at the International Security Assistance Forces headquarters.Most of the combat troops expected to leave Afghanistan December 31st.

 

Dozens of swimmers dressed in Santa Claus hats and festive swim suits dived into a lake in Berlin for a traditional swim. About 30 members of the “Berlin Seals” club warmed up by singing Christmas carols, before taking the plunge into the cold water.
