Indonesia search teams have found the tail from the crashed Air-Asia jet. That’s especially significant because the black box, flight data and cockpit voice recorders are usually inthe aircraft’s tail area.

 

A suicide bomber with a minibus full of explosives killed at least 30 people in Yemen. The attack happened near a group of cadets, gathering to enroll in a police academy.

 

Frigid cold air is expected across much of the country, with temperatures expected to reach only single digits. The National Weather Service put out a chill advisory for much of the northeast on Wednesday and Thursday.

 

And a time capsule from 1795 was opened in Boston. It included coins, newspapers and a medal depicting George Washington.
