Israeli helicopters have unleashed a second attack on Lebanon's only international airport. Southern Lebanon has also been pounded by Israel. More than 50 people have died in the attacks that began after two Israeli soldiers were captured on Wednesday.
In Yucca Valley, California, two wildfires that have already burned more than 100 buildings could link up in the San Bernardino National Forest. There one fire official says the dry timber is just like matches standing on end.
Veterinarians say as long as Barbaro isn't suffering they will continue to treat him. But they say the famous colt's chances of survival are poor. Barbaro won the Kentucky Derby but shattered his right hind leg in the Preakness and has developed a potentially fatal disease.
And in Oregon, a stolen baseball autographed by Mickey Mantle has been recovered after a 12-year-old boy overheard several suspects discussing the robbery at the local library. His father gave chase and now police have the suspects and the ball. It was stolen along with several other items from a Boys and Girls Club near Portland.
