Spanish procecutors say while Rodrigo Rato stashed nearly 30 million dollars overseas illegally to avoid paying Spanish tax. He is also accused of laundering at Bonkiya, Spain's biggest real esctate lender while he was CEO until the bank collapes that he needed a bailout. Rato was arrested and then freed this week, he denied the allegations and he's cooperating the authorities. They've frozen his assets and taken his passpord. As I heard from instinct IMF,Rato was Spain's former vice president and economy minister. His arrest has blown Spain's ruling conservative, who are seeking reelection later this year. Across Germany, today thousands of people marched in protest of a plan f deal between US and Europe. Protesters are worried that the deal will arode food, labor and environmental standards. A recent Uga poll shows that 43% of Germans think trans-Atlantic trade and investment partnership will be bad for Germany. But Chancellor Angela Merkel says the deal could add 100 billion dollars annualy to the economies of both the US and Europe. 

In Afghannistan, at least 35 people are dead after a suicide bomber targeted a crowd of people gathered at a bank to receive their monthly salary in Jeloubar. 125 other were wounded. Authorities say an official with self-described Islamic state claimed responsibity. But that claim hasn't been verified. 

A young man is dead in St.Louise after he alleged charged a police with a knife. St.Louise public radio Camel Phillips says his death has a new debate about the best way for police to respond to mentally ill. 

Authorities say 23 year old David Mecal armed himself with a knife and a summirized sword before locking his mother out in their St.Louise county home later Friday night. His mother told police that he's been behaving radically. Two hours after officers arrived on scene. Mecal stepped outside with a knife. St.Louise county police chief Don Belmore officers first tried to seduce Mecal was a rapid bull to the thigh. 

We were hoping he would drop the knife, but it just didn't work out.Had he've done that, then the officers were already prepared to phicially engage him, ground him, and then this would be over, and he would be in a hospital. Belmoret said his department had a similar encounter with Mecal last summer. But officers were able to defuse the situation. From NPR news, I'm Camel Phillips in St.Louise.

Two people remain in critial condition after a gas explosion in Fresnon California Friday. The sheriff's officers said the jail inmates and a public works employee are still hospitalized. The explosion on a specific gas electric pipe happened at the Freson County Sheriff gun arrange. An enquipment operator hit with a front loader, while tried to build a bur.
