Lynch also met with family member of Freddie Gray who suffered a fatal spinal injury while in police custody and pledged to improve the city's police department. 2. Secretary of State John Kerry made an unannounced visit to Somalia in a show of solidarity with a government attempting to defeat extremist militants. Kerry is the first top US diplomat that ever visited the war-torn country.
3. A dramatic rescue of migrants in a sinking boat emerged Tuesday on the Mediterranean Sea. Video shows migrants desperately clambering a robe and ladders from a cargo ship that came to their aid. Five bodies were recovered. Many others have reportedly drowned.
4. And a proud great-grandmother paid a royal visit to latest heir to the British throne. Queen Elizabeth arrived at Kensington Palace to meet Princess Charlotte, one day after the baby's official naming. |
