Amtrak service along the northeast corridor resumes almost a week after a train derailed in Philadelphia, killing eight and injuring more than 200. Amtrak authorities say trains are in complete compliance with federal safety orders.
3. The White House is calling the capture of the Iraq city of Ramadi by Islamic State militants a setback. The militants've forced eight thousand people to flee from their homes since they took over the area.
4. And students in Costa Rica are tackling hunger, one insect at a time. Food Technology students created cricket cookies and beetle cakes to help combat hunger in developing countries. The insects offer a good source of proteins and nutrients. |
