CCTV9英语新闻:Test ends, examiners begin to mark papers in China(在线收听) |
More than 9.4 million college candidates in China finished their annual national college admission exams—known as ‘gaokao’—yesterday. Tens thousands of examiners have started to check the subjective items of the papers online. Each answer will be checked by at least two examiners to avoid misjudgment. Many students will take another exam, set by some of the top universities in China. They need both scores to be admitted to these universities. The gaokao is often called a "battle to determine one's fate", because its results decide whether a student goes to college, back to school for another year, or tries to find a job. |
