 Making news this morning, Jetstar has been forced to cancel a number of flights in and out of Bali because of a volcanic eruption. Jetstar’s flights on their way to Denpasar from Sydney and Melbourne were forced to turn around after Mount Raung erupted. And a chemical spill in the cargo holder of a plane in Melbourne has also delayed a Qantas flight overnight. 

 
BP has agreed to a record 25-billion-dollar settlement with the US Department of Justice over the 2010 Gulf of Mexico Oil Spill. An explosion at Deepwater Horizon killed 11 people and caused the worst oil in US history. BP has already paid substantial sums to settle criminal charges and to compensate businesses and individuals. 
 
Members of an Australian charity are under investigation for alleged links to the Islamic state group. Ibrahim Bract has been arrested in Lebanon on charges of recruiting for Islamic state and fund-raising for jihadists. The ABC understands two of Australian Lebanese members of the Sydney base charity are also under investigation.
 
A 32-year-old man is fighting for his life after being badly moored by a great white shark off the New South Wales far north coast. The man was attacked / White House speech and he remains in a critical condition at Gold Coast hospital. It’s the third serious attack at Valaner this year.
