Let’s take a look at the satellite image. A broad high pressure system is causing a very cold morning particularly for inland areas. A cold front is triggering a few showers over the southeast of the country. A moist onshore flow over the Top End and eastern Queensland is generating showers . Looking around the country, in Queensland, a cold morning in the south of the state. Dry and partly cloudy inland. Showers and breezy winds are developing along the coast.
In New South Wales inland, parts are expecting another frosty morning after a night of sub-zero temperatures. Partly cloudy with a chance of showers in the northeast. Mostly sunny elsewhere.
In Victoria, a cold and partly cloudy day for most of the state. Showers along the southern coastline.
In Tasmania, rain expected for much of the day in the south and west. Partly cloudy in the east.
To South Australia, early morning showers in the south. Sunny and dry in the north.
In Western Australia, a fine day across most of the state particularly in the west and north. Showers expected along the south coast.
And a mostly sunny day in the Northern Territory with the odd light shower in the northeast.
Looking ahead to tomorrow’s forecast for the capital cities. Partly cloudy in Brisbane. Sunny in Sydney and Melbourne. Hobart will have rain. A fine day in Adelaide. Showers in Perth. And Darwin will be sunny. |
