 Outside the monks were giving thanks for the waters of the Nile. Here in Ethiopia we feel the water represents life to human beings. If man doesn't have water, he has to endue drought. The river Nile making its way around Ethiopia nutritious the country. But because it's such a pressures limited resource, the Nile has also long been a cause of conflict. Seven hundred years ago, Ethiopia threatened to divert the Nile because what it said was Muslin persecution of Christians down river the Egypt. Now the two countries are once again locked in a bit dispute of ownership of use of the river. To understand more happening I need to take to the air.
