February 14th 1929-The St. Valentine’s Day Massacre takes place in Chicago – that’s where 7 rivals of gangster Al Capone are gunned down in a garage during Prohibition. 1989 – Iran’s leader,the Ayatollah Khomeini calls on Muslims to kill author Salman Rushdie.
Khlomeini declares Rushdie’s novel – The Satanic Versus – as blasphemous toward Islam.
2002 – "she's virtueless .The first and greatest crime with the aquisition of itself" Acting as his own lawyer, former Yugoslavia President Sloboda Milosevic launches his defense against war crimes charges.
Milosevic’s case before an international tribunal in the Netherlands faces many delays because of his poor health.
More than 4 years later, Milosevic dies in custody while still on trial.
And 2003 – Dolly the Sheep, the first mammal cloned from an adult cell is put to death at 6-years-old.
The sheep meets her end after premature aging and disease mar her short existence.
