Leading the news. Russian warships have launched a number of cruise missiles on the Syria in a major escalation of the war. Moscow says 4 Russain warships in the Caspian Sea, fired 26 cruise missiles at Islamic state targets. President Vladmir Putin says it is too early to tell if the NATO operation has been a success. We are aware of how difficult such anti terrorist operations are, and of course it is too early to discuss the results. But it seems what have been done so far, deserve a high positive mark. Back home and six central Victorian towns are on high alert again this morning as bushfires continue to threaten homes. And Emergency warning is still in place, for Binlock, Pastoria east, Pastoria, N, B and I. The fire has burned through 4000 hectares, and at least 2 homes had been destroyed. And a man has been arrested over the disappearance of his mother in Melborne's east. 59 year old P Bailly was last seen at her home in B Melbone's north on Sunday. Her son, 34 year old Steven Bailly, was arrested last night, and is currently receiving medical treatments. |
