2. Federal investigators say they hope to retrieve the ship’s data recorders to learn why the cargo ship El Faro sank during hurricane Joaquin. 33 people were on board.
3. Police say a 23-year-old woman in Mississippi stabbed her 3-year-old child in the abdomen. She was arrested for attempted murder. The child was taken to a hospital for treatment.
4. Microsoft unveiled a new laptop on Tuesday along with a tablet, three phones and a fitness tracker. Experts say the hardware features of the new products are impressive, but face heavy competition from Apple and Android products. |
