 Australia is preparing to face Argentina in the semi-finals of the Rugby World Cup after a thrilling quarter-final win over Scotland. Another poll at this morning shows dwindling supports for the Labor Party after Malcohm Turnbull was appointed prime minister. The latest Fairfax-lpsos poll puts Labor behind the coalition on the two-party preferred basis, down seven percent since the same poll back in mid August. The coalition is also ahead in the primary vote, and Malcohm Turnbull has tripled the support of Bill Shorten as preferred prime minister. At least one person is dead, and more than 23,000 others have been evacuated after a typhoon hit the Philippines.
